Alright yes, I used a sensationalistic title for this post to get your attention.
Now that you are here let me explain, and please, stick around because everything I am about to tell you is true!
The last thing anyone wants to deal with when dieting is having to prepare complicated meals.
Especially if they are not meals they really want to eat.
No one wants to prepare a meal they won’t enjoy.
I have never tried any of the well-known diets such as Jenny Craig or Weight Watches.
Eating microwave meals is not the best way to lose weight no matter who packages them.
Sure you can lose the weight if you are diligent and stick to the plan but will you enjoy it?
Will it really taste great?
The truth is though, microwave meals, no matter who created them, is not going to help you health-wise in the long run.
Fad diets come and go and most can’t be trusted.
Since each of our bodies are different, we all process foods differently too.
Even my own plan here isn’t going to work for everyone in the world.
The most important thing anyone should do before starting any kind of diet is to confer with their doctor.
What I am going to share with you is simple.
How I lost 30 pounds in 5 months eating “fast food”.
You Can Lose Weight On Fast Food Too!
Alright, so the first thing we have to clear up is when I say Fast Food I do not mean food you get at a drive-through window.
When I say fast food I simply mean food that is wholesome and easy to prepare.
Most of my meals take less than 5 minutes to create!
The next thing we have to understand is that everyone needs a well-rounded diet.
That means protein, dairy, fruits, veggies, and yes, carbs and fats.
Healthy carbs and healthy fats!
They do exist.
Even as a Type 1 Diabetic I need some carbs.
Again, please check with your doctor, I am not a health professional nor do I claim to be one, I don’t even play one on TV.
Now with those two things under our belts, I also want to say not everyone wants to lose weight.
I have curvy friends who look fantastic and love their bodies as they are, just as they should.
Some of us need to lose weight for our self-esteem and some of us for our health.
You can be curvy and be in perfectly fine health.
I have known super thin people who are unhealthy.
Weight is not always an indication of good health.
However, if you do want to lose some pounds this is a good way to go about it.
At least it was for me.
Let’s Get To How To Lose Weight On Fast Food:
Step One To Lose Weight On Fast Food:
First, understand what fast food really is.
It’s food that you either do not need to prepare – this is the best kind.
Or food that needs little prep work to enjoy.
My theory is the less prep a food needs – the healthier it is and the faster you will lose weight.
Get Started by tossing out everything that is bad for you.
Yes, get rid of the chips, the cookies, the doughnuts.
Say goodbye and don’t look back.
Unsubscribe from all those food emails you receive.
Pizza coupons, your favorite place to get a sub, your favorite pasta restaurant, get rid of them.
Also, delete those food apps!
No one needs to be taunted at this time.
Step Two To Lose Weight On Fast Food:
Go to the store with a clear vision in mind.
You are only going to put in the cart foods that need little to no prep.
Nuts, Fruit, Veggies, Pre-Made Salads for work days, whole grain bread, yes you get to eat bread!
Cheese – white cheese is lower in calories as a general rule so think mozzarella, gouda, swiss.
Don’t forget a protein source so you need cage-free, pasture raised, free roaming chicken eggs.
I am a stickler for the well-being of our animal-sourced foods.
Also, I am not kidding when I say, the higher quality the eggs you buy the better the eggs taste!
If you are going to buy meat stay away from pork and do not buy much beef.
I know, there is no bacon in this diet, I am so sorry.
Go for turkey, then chicken, and of course a lot of fish!
Salmon is a great source of protein and does not taste very fishy!
Please always buy wild-caught.
Step Three To Lose Weight On Fast Food:
Keep it simple!
It is not difficult to prepare a salad.
Cook up eggs in advance, they last for days and are good reheated.
Hard boil eggs and eat out of the shell for a healthy snack.
Chop up some veggies for on the go.
Try my roll up recipe and other great fast and healthy recipes made with Vetee Rice.
Or roll up some turkey, white cheese (just a little), and veggies for a delicious lunch or dinner.
Stay away for too many sauces.
I know Iove sauces and spreads too.
Buy light versions and use just a little.
The truth is, once you back away from overuse of sauces, dips, spreads, and dressings, you don’t even miss them!
I also found I was using way too much cheese in my meals.
When you cut back, you actually taste the other foods!
Recommended Foods To Lose Weight On Fast Food:
You do not have to give up dessert!
Whipped cream is very low in fat and calories.
Put some on top of fresh berries for a sweet treat to curb the cravings.
I always buy tons of celery, cucumbers, and pickles.
These help with the need to crunch and munch.
I eat a lot of eggs when dieting so this is a must on my list.
They are so versatile and can be used in so many ways.
Nuts are a wonderful way to get protein and healthy fats.
Be sure to buy a good supply of your favorite fruits.
I always have nectarines and grapes on hand.
Blueberries are a superfood that will help with not only weight-loss but your health overall.
I purchase a mixture of red, green, and yellow bell peppers for movie nights.
I do dip in a light ranch dressing and I dip lightly, no smothering of the veggies.
Wild caught salmon and tuna steaks are two of my favorite sources of protein.
Your list may be far different but try to stay to the three rules:
My Favorite Meal To Lose Weight On Fast Food:
The reason this is my favorite is that I can have it every night of the week and never get bored of it!
I can mix it up anyway I choose to keep things different each time.

Oh, and yes indeed I do treat myself to a glass of vino now and then with my meals.
We can’t allow ourselves to feel totally cheated, and treating ourselves is key to success!

It’s not just about losing weight though, it’s about how you feel!
I know many self-assured, strong, beautiful curvy women who have no desire to lose weight.
They are fit and healthy.
I would bet money on the fact that they are fitter than I am!
I may have lost weight but I still need to work on toning my body and cardio!
I am on the path to that and currently try to get to the gym a few times a week.
Not going to lie, I need to make that mark more often!
I am not preaching that you all need to lose weight.
That is between you and your doctor, and your own feeling of well-being.
I am just providing insight to how I have lost weight and kept it off for many years.
So I Was Able To Lose Weight On Fast Food – Now What?
Well, now I stick to this plan 95% of the time but I am able to go out to eat too.
I am able to “cheat” more often but I keep it real.
I do not gorge on chips and soda.
Nor do I want to anymore!
I now prefer fruits and veggies to junk food.
If I go out to a movie you bet I am having popcorn smothered in that crappy butter.
It sure is good!
But I get right back on track with healthful eating the moment I return home.
To be honest, my body feels it more when I cheat now that I have been eating healthy for a long time.
Before I would gorge on buttered popcorn, come home, and grab another unhealthy snack.
My body didn’t even notice because it was so used to the unhealthy food I was shoveling into it.
After pure eating, my body wants to reject the toxins from processed, sugary, and fat-laden food.
I feel like crap!
Since I do not want to feel this way, I am far less likely to go back to bad eating habits.
Everything is mind over matter in life.
It takes just a few weeks to develop a new habit, be that a positive one or a negative one.
Fast food in my mind is whatever is ready to be eaten as is.
It’s not going up to a drive-through window.
Fast food means healthy food that is easy to prepare.
A healthy taco dinner literally only takes about 10 minutes to make.
The longest part of that is cooking up some meat or veggie meat.
I also cook what I need for that meal only.
Having a ton of leftovers only means more snacking!
I had to get myself out of the idea of cooking for an army.
Give yourself a few weeks on this “diet” plan to get your body accustomed to it before giving up.
