How was your April this year? Did you get April Showers? Here in Kansas, we got some, but more so we had dreary cold weather. Things look to be turning more toward Spring and I am so happy about it.

I am super excited about this coming month’s articles.

We are going to have some great posts including a new DIY project I am working on.

I hope you come back and see what’s new in May.

Also, I will be turning 29!

Okay, 49 but I still feel like a kid at heart.

Every month I like to do a round-up of the articles I have posted.

I know how busy life can be and how easy it is to miss something we could have really benefited from or simply enjoyed.

Let’s take a look at some articles you may have missed in April.

You were pretty prolific during April Can see a lot of action happening during the month. I am sure May will be even more eventful and we shall see many more May showers too.

I love your roundups, it is a great way to see which posts I need to read for the first time and reread for the second time. I need to go back and read the skincare post. I have been having so many skin problems lately and really need to find something that will work for me.

Thank you so much Melissa! I totally think Dermae is worth a try! It’s not too expensive either which is nice! Let me know if you find something that works great for you!

I wonder what it is about seasons of change, like Spring and Fall, which make me more productive as well? I can see that Spring is a good time for your writing. I hope to work Winter and Summer into more productive blogging periods for myself.

Yeah winter is a lot harder because we can’t get out as easily and take great photos! The photos I take often lead me to my content so I think that is part of my issue.

It looks you had a great April! I really enjoy seeing everything you accomplished in one place! Happy birthday! Can’t wait to see what you share in May!

Thank you so very much Reesa! May is going to be awesome with more nice weather. I already have a great DIY post coming up that I am so excited about!

Looks like an amazing April. I love the slacking or recharging. I like to think of me recharging for sure. I have to have a break sometimes. I do have to say your son could pass for Bieber but I don’t know if he would actually want to. 😉

    • May 1, 2018 / 7:43 pm

Thank you Shelley! I am so glad you like the slacking recharging article! It’s true we DESERVE to relax and recharge! ROFL hahaha that cracked me up. Both of them have got into their own trouble so perhaps we should not merge the two HAHA!

I love your round ups. I never would have read these without it. I just recently started menopause and am in need of connecting with other women going through the same things. Also, I am in-need of validation that my slacking really is recharging time.

    • May 1, 2018 / 7:45 pm

Thank you Jenn I am so glad you like the round-up posts. I totally admit that I miss a lot of what people post on their blogs so round-ups help us get to what we want or need to read!
I plan to have more about menopause here on the blog in the future and I agree we DO need to talk more about this mystifying issue we share!
You have my validation to slack because after all, you deserve to recharge!

  7. May 1, 2018 / 10:21 am

Spring has sprung and your April roundup is inspiring. I am certainly going to stop saying that I was slacking and instead say that I was recharging! I feel like this spring has lasted way too long and I am done hibernating.

  8. May 1, 2018 / 12:25 pm

Hard to believe that April is over!! Crazy!! I love your round ups because it lets me see all of the great highlights you had for the month. Looks like a great month to me! Bring on MAY!!

    • May 1, 2018 / 7:47 pm

Thank you so much Censie! May is going to be AWESOME! I already have a post coming up for a DIY I am so proud of! I can’t wait to see what you and others think of it!

  9. May 1, 2018 / 6:02 pm

I liked when you spoke about the difference between slacking and recharging and how you said that sometimes it is good to just go with the flow. And I hope that the blog conference went well for you. Fingers crossed 🤞

    • May 5, 2018 / 11:19 am

Thank you Ana! The conference went wonderfully. Such a great experience! I had a lot of plans to do this and that today but it’s feeling like a day to recharge and I am going to do just that and take it slow. Glad you liked the article.

I love your goofiness Joely! As a fellow (newbie) blogger with a rather goofy sense of humour I’m often left wondering whether or not to let that funny side through in my writing! Its so lovely to see you embrace it and it makes your articles such a refreshing read. Love your site. xxx
