So you are out on a date with your sweetie. As you leave the restaurant they buckle in pain and nearly fall to their knees. Problem is, it’s their knees that are causing the extreme pain! Hip and knee pain are common in midlife but there is something you may be able to do about it.

How Hip And Knee Pain Affect Our Lives:
Hip and knee pain can affect more than just your physical mobility.
Pain can affect your personal life as well.
The ability to get involved in family activities, doing the things you love to do, as well as our emotional well-being.
Some of the most passive activities such as taking a road trip can cause extreme discomfort.
Even the most passive act of all, sleeping, can cause knees and hip joints to stiffen.
This results in intense pain that wakes one up at night.
We all know how important a good night’s sleep is!
When we do not get the rest our bodies need it affects our health in other negative ways.
For some, hip and knee pain cause problems in their lives when it comes to intimacy.
Living With Hip And Knee Pain:
Playing with the grandkids is something every grandparent wants to do but chasing them around can be impossible if you suffer from pain.
It seems unfair that as we hit midlife and are just beginning to enjoy being empty nesters, having the time to do all the things we love, that we can get hit with such challenges.
Both hip and knee pain has hit many of my family members, and myself.
I discussed some of my personal limitations in a previous article about pain.
Speaking of being grandparents, I remember how active my grandfather was when I was young.
He taught me how to play softball and how to ride a bike.
We would spend hours playing.
He taught me to pitch wind-up and was present at all of my games.
As he became older, and his mobility became limited, things changed.
I would never want to face that with my own grandchildren in the future.
Hit Play And Get Solutions To Your Hip And Knee Pain:
These days, we have the ability to take the right steps toward discovering if joint replacement therapy is an option.
With your physician’s recommendation on potential solutions, including joint replacement surgery, you can get back to doing the things you love again with the people you love.
I wish these options had been available to my grandfather but they are available to us now.
Life is a lot more fun when you Hit Play and get back to living a full life again.
If hip or knee pain has affected your life or that of a loved one I would love to hear from you.
Leave me a comment and let us know and if you sought joint replacement surgery to help.
